Interfaith Service Coalition

Interfaith Service Coalition The ISC is a cooperative effort of the Churches of the greater Hancock area to coordinate efforts of community outreach and support in times of need.

We achieve our mission by:

1. Working to assist those in need with food, nutrition education, literacy training, shelter and clothing as needs arise and resources allow.

2. Advocating for services with local, state and federal agencies.

3. Networking with Churches, schools, health care providers, social service agencies, civic organizations and other service providers to meet identified needs i

n the region.

4. Coordinating the delivery of existing goods and services.

5. Developing new programs and services as needs arise and resources allow.

Next Sunday, February 15th, come dust off your dancing boots and join the Hancock Arts Council for a FREE Community Dance at 2:00 pm at the Hancock Town Hall!

This is a fun event for young and old alike. Live music will be provided by the Wind Dance String Band and light refreshments will be available.

Musicians:
John Devine (fiddle), Tim Smith (guitar), and Ashton Cole (banjo) will play traditional dance tunes while Leslie Devine-Milbourne calls the moves to circle, square, and long line community dances.

Bring the whole family for an afternoon of live music and dance! If you don’t feel like dancing just tap your foot and watch the fun.

The Interfaith Service Coalition is a community based organization authorized by the Maryland Department of Human Services to assist you with applying for SNAP benefits. We can also assist with Maryland Energy Assistance Program applications. Interfaith has a food pantry and does regular food distributions. If you are in need of assistance, please contact Deborah Cohill on (301) 331-6605 to learn how Interfaith may be able to assist you.

Great news! Our construction project is now complete and we can reopen!

We will be kicking off with a Pancake Party on Tuesday, Feb. 17th. We will also celebrate Fat Tuesday.
