What a fun day at West Yadkin Elementary! 💙💛📚

Today we celebrated "Dolly Day" and all that Dolly Parton represents — a love for children, a passion for reading and learning, kindness, generosity, and dreaming big!

Our students and staff had a great time celebrating together and recognizing the incredible impact Dolly has made on young readers and families everywhere. From books and learning to smiles and fun, it was a special day all around!

We are thankful for the example Dolly sets for our students: dream big, work hard, care for others, and never stop learning.

We loved making our own memories today as we celebrated a true champion for children and literacy!

Join us for Open House at West Yadkin Elementary on Monday, August 10! Families will attend during scheduled times arranged by teachers. Information sessions will be available in the Multi-Purpose Room with PTO and district representatives from Transportation, Child Nutrition, and Out of School Time. We will also have food trucks on site so families can purchase treats, lunch, and/or dinner. We look forward to welcoming everyone back!

Good evening! I can’t believe we are 29 days away from having students back in the building!!

I hope that you are all having a wonderful summer. We wanted to get the supply lists out for each grade level if you would like to go ahead and get a head start on getting supplies before things are gone.
