🚒 VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER SPOTLIGHT — DAVID WOODALL 🚒

West Yadkin Volunteer Fire Department is proud to recognize David Woodall as one of our Top Responders for the month of August! 👏🔥

David is married to his wife, Anita, and they have four children—daughters Esther, Elizabeth, and Naomi, and son Justin.

When he isn’t answering the call, David enjoys fishing, reading, and taking his Jeep off-road—and according to David, there’s NO mall crawling! 😂🛻

David has dedicated his time and talents to serving several fire and rescue departments over the years, including West Yadkin, Elkin Fire, Elkin Rescue, C.C. Camp Fire, Boonville Fire, and Traphill Fire.

We’re proud to have David as part of the West Yadkin family and appreciate the time, experience, and dedication he gives to our department and the communities he serves.

🚒 West Yadkin Fire Department – July Top Responder 🚒

Please join us in congratulating Volunteer Firefighter Matthew Cruz, who answered an outstanding 40 calls during the month of July, making him our Top Responder!

Matthew has been a member of the West Yadkin Fire Department for the past seven months and recently achieved another important milestone by passing his Fire Officer I certification exam today. Congratulations, Matthew!

Before joining West Yadkin, Matthew proudly served with the Boonville Fire Department and Fall Creek Fire Department, continuing his commitment to serving others.

When he’s not responding to emergencies, Matthew owns and operates Car Whisperers, balancing his business with his dedication to the fire service. He is also a devoted family man. Matthew and his wife are raising four children and are excitedly preparing to welcome another little one to their family.

Matthew, thank you for your dedication, hard work, and willingness to answer the call whenever our community needs you. Your commitment to serving others does not go unnoticed, and we are grateful to have you as part of the West Yadkin Fire Department family.

Randy is a dedicated husband, proud father of two, and grandfather to three. Whether it’s a structure fire, motor vehicle accident, or a medical emergency, he answers the call without hesitation. His willingness to respond to every type of emergency demonstrates the commitment and servant’s heart that make our department so strong.

Thank you, Randy, for your countless hours of service, your dedication to our community, and for always being willing to help those in need. We appreciate everything you do for West Yadkin Fire Department and the citizens we proudly serve.

Today, we celebrate the birth of our nation and a truly historic milestone—America’s 250th Anniversary. For two and a half centuries, the values of freedom, courage, and community have united generations of Americans.

As you enjoy time with family and friends, we encourage everyone to celebrate safely. Please use fireworks responsibly, keep an eye on grills and campfires, and never drink and drive.

Thank you to all who have served and continue to serve our great nation and our local communities. We are honored to serve the citizens of West Yadkin every day.
