Our next public CPR class is Monday, September 14th, 2026!

Did you know that most cardiac arrests happen at home, often in front of a family member or friend? When CPR is performed immediately by a bystander, it can double or even triple a person's chance of survival. That means the person most likely to save a life isn't a firefighter or paramedic, it's you.

Why get CPR certified?
❤️ Be ready to act in the critical minutes before help arrives
❤️ Protect your family, coworkers, and neighbors
❤️ Gain confidence to respond calmly in an emergency
❤️ Build a stronger, safer community

No experience necessary, our certified instructors will walk you through everything, from chest compressions to using an AED, in a supportive, easy-to-follow setting.

📅 Date: September 14th, 2026
📍 Location: Hampton Fire HQ - 140 Winnacunnet Rd., Hampton, NH
🕐 Time: 5pm

Can't make this class? Our next class is scheduled for December 14th.

🇺🇸 Happy Labor Day! 🇺🇸

Labor Day weekend traditionally marks the unofficial end of the summer tourist season, and we are grateful to our residents, visitors, local businesses, and public safety partners who helped make it another successful season. From busy beach days and special events to emergency responses and everything in between, it has been our privilege to serve this incredible community.

But summer isn’t over just yet! 🦞🌊 We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back next weekend for the annual Hampton Beach Seafood Festival.

Enjoy the holiday weekend, celebrate safely, and thank you to everyone who works hard to keep our community moving and safe! 🚒

Today, the Hampton Police Department recognizes K9 Icky and the important role he plays in protecting and serving our community.

Icky joined the Hampton Police Department in March 2022 after being born and raised at Nordic K9 in Concord, New Hampshire. He graduated from the Boston K9 Academy Patrol School in July 2022 and later completed the academy’s Narcotics Detection School in February 2023.

Icky maintains annual patrol certification through the North American Police Work Dog Association (NAPWDA) and narcotics detection certification through the United States Police Canine Association (USPCA). He also participates in monthly in-service training through the Boston K9 Academy, continuously building the skills needed to support officers in the field.

Since joining the department, Icky has put those skills to work throughout Hampton. He has tracked a suspicious individual seen looking into a family’s apartment window, leading officers to a hotel where the individual was identified. He has helped locate and apprehend a shooting suspect in the Hampton Beach area, located a knife used in the commission of a crime, and assisted during a warrant service that resulted in the apprehension of a potentially armed and dangerous suspect.

Icky has also assisted in numerous apprehensions involving stolen vehicles and potentially armed suspects, while his narcotics detection skills have supported investigations resulting in the seizure of illegal and dangerous drugs.

Icky’s work demonstrates how specialized training and a strong handler-K9 partnership enhance the department’s ability to protect and serve the community. His capabilities provide officers with an important resource during situations where his training, senses, and ability to search can make a significant difference.

On National Police K9 Day, we’re proud to recognize K9 Icky for his service to Hampton and the dedicated partnership behind his success with his handler, Officer Whitehead.
