The 192nd Wing is locked in with the latest Air National Guard strategy. Maj. Gen. Duke Pirak and Chief Master Sgt. Josh Moore recently hosted wing leaders to align on "Bringing the Future Faster"—a mission we live every day at Joint Base Langley-Eustis.

Through our Total Force Integration partnership with the 1st Fighter Wing, our Virginia Airmen are operationalizing these key lines of effort:

🔹 Recalibrate for Wartime Footing: Shifting to a "fight tonight" mindset to ensure our pilots and maintainers are ready for high-end conflict.
🔹 Retool with AEW 2.0: Strengthening our ability to train and deploy as a cohesive team alongside our active-duty counterparts.
🔹 Reengineer the Capability Portfolio: Leveraging our F-22 Raptor expertise to maintain air superiority for the nation.
🔹 Recruit and Retain: Building the next generation of Virginia Citizen Airmen to sustain our lethal edge.

The updated United States Air Force fitness standards are officially here, and the 192nd Wing is making sure you’re prepared. Our risk-free baseline testing window is available now through June 30!

This is your chance to see exactly where you stand with the new standards—including the updated run—with zero impact on your official record. If you pass and accept the score, you're set for the year! If not, it’s a no-penalty practice run to help you pinpoint exactly where to improve before official scoring begins July 1.

Our 203rd RED HORSE has headed out! Before they took flight, Maj. Gen. James W. Ring and Chief Master Sgt. John F. Nye met with our Airmen as they finalized their gear for mobilization to the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command area of responsibility.

This mission is a major opportunity to showcase what it means to be Multi-Capable Airmen. The 203rd isn't just about heavy construction. They are self-sufficient, rapid-response experts who can pivot from carving runways to building full-scale facilities in high-threat, remote environments—and turn complex concepts into reality in just weeks.

We’re incredibly proud of our RED HORSE team as they represent the VaANG and the commonwealth around the globe! Stay safe and keep digging deep!

The Virginia National Guard is making moves in Finland, and our 192nd Wing Airmen were right in the thick of it. We recently touched down in the "Land of a Thousand Lakes" to train alongside our Finnish partners and VNG Soldiers for Exercise Karelian Stone.

It was an incredible exchange—working hand in hand with the 229th Chemical Company and the 34th CERFP to sharpen our collective edge in CBRN response. Since formalizing our State Partnership in May 2024, it’s been all about building that interoperability.

We’re proud to stand as trusted allies and continue strengthening this vital connection!

Hazards Met Head On

Virginia National Guard Airmen and Soldiers trained alongside Finnish forces during two major exercises—strengthening chemical and hazardous response capabilities.

From reconnaissance to decontamination, this State Partnership Program partnership sharpens joint, combined readiness where it matters most.
