Name A Baby Raccoon! 🦝
At the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center, we can raise up to thirty baby raccoons a season! These babies can come to us when only a few days old, because of their mothers being injured or killed, or removed by "pest control" companies who don't check for babies when the re-locate the Mother.
When a baby raccoon comes to us it means months of care; neo-natal feedings every 2-3 hours, quarantine cages for a minimum of 2 weeks, 4 sets of vaccines, hundreds of meals and hours of enrichment training. And that's not to mention the constant cleaning of their cages by volunteers and staff EVERY day.
But boy, oh boy, are they worth it! A baby raccoon is about the cutest animal you will ever see - fluffy and playful as a kitten, frisky as a dog, smart as an owl and sneaky as a fox!
