Town-wide Yard Sale Parking Concern!

This weekend is our Town-wide Yard Sale — the perfect opportunity to find great deals, support your neighbors, and enjoy a fun day out in our wonderful community!

We want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable experience, so here’s an important reminder:

Please do NOT park your vehicles on the roadway.

Cars left on the street create traffic congestion, reduce visibility, and can create dangerous hazards — especially with so many families and children walking between sales.

🚗 Help us keep Hampstead safe and moving:

- Park in the driveway, on the roadside lawn, or in designated off-street areas
- Be considerate of your neighbors and fellow shoppers
- Leave clear access for emergency vehicles and traffic flow

A little extra care with parking will make the entire day smoother and safer for all of us!

Big shout-out to the 1,500+ dog owners who’ve already registered their furry friends with the town this year, thank you for keeping Hampstead’s pups legal!
For the 250+ of you who haven’t gotten around to it yet, we get it, life gets busy! But let’s get those pups licensed by June 23rd to avoid a $25 forfeiture fee. It’s super easy, and the Town Clerk’s Office is here to help. Plus, if your dog has sadly passed, please let the Clerk’s Office know so we can update our records. Hampstead Police Department shares the sad news from our partners at the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office.

K-9 Dundee passed away today after a sudden medical emergency. He served with loyalty, courage, and heart.
Rest easy, Dundee.

Our thoughts are with his handler and the entire Sheriff’s Office family.

Officer Winter making a difference!

Hampstead School Resource Officer Steve Winter recently visited 6th grade students at Hampstead Middle School t to teach important lessons on E-bike laws and bicycle safety.

From understanding Class 1, 2, and 3 e-bike rules to the importance of helmets, obeying traffic laws, and riding responsibly, these young riders got practical knowledge to stay safe on our roads this spring and summer.

Praying for a speedy recovery for the Londonderry Police officer involved in the crash. Wishing him strength and a full, quick recovery. Thank you to all the first responders who put themselves in harm's way every day. Stay safe out there.

On June 11, 2026, at approximately 6:00 p.m., the Londonderry Police Department was dispatched to a serious motor vehicle accident on Stonehenge Road.

While responding to the accident, one of our officers, who was operating a fully marked police motorcycle, was involved in a separate crash. The crash occurred on Hardy Road near Pheasant Run Road.

Our officer was transported by ambulance to Elliot Hospital in Manchester. At this time, he is in stable condition. The operator of the other vehicle involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

Hardy Road is currently closed while the crash is being investigated by the Derry Police Department's Accident Reconstruction Team.

Welcoming New Talent & Celebrating Leadership at Hampstead PD! 👮‍♂️⭐

The Hampstead Police Department is proud to announce recent staffing changes that reflect our continued commitment to smart, efficient public service.

We are excited to welcome Officer Joe Aversa to the full-time ranks! Joe comes to us from North Reading, MA, and is a fully certified police officer with one year of full-time experience at the Lee Police Department. He is a strong addition to our team and will be a great asset to our community.

We are also proud to announce the promotion of Bryan Lamontagne to the rank of Sergeant! Bryan has served with the Hampstead Police Department since 2017 and was previously promoted to Detective in 2024. His dedication, experience, and leadership make him exceptionally well-qualified for this new role.

These changes are the result of a thoughtful restructuring of our department. No new positions were added, and there is no increase in staffing costs for the Town of Hampstead. Officer Aversa is filling the vacancy left by a recent retirement, and Sgt. Lamontagne is stepping into a supervisory role vacated by retirement. This restructuring will actually deliver cost savings to the Town while maintaining — and strengthening — the level of service we provide to our residents.
