Congratulations to Grace LeVasseur and Lucy Withee!
Municipal WasteHub and Municipal Waste Solutions are proud to announce the recipients of their 2026 Municipal WasteHub Scholarship Program, awarding five $2,000 scholarships to outstanding students from member communities across Maine.
The 2026 scholarship recipients are:
Samuel Potter, Belfast Area High School, City of Belfast, ME
Lucy Withee, Hampden Academy, Town of Hampden, Maine
Rebekkah Perry-Lind, Sumner Memorial High School, Town of Steuben
Grace LeVasseur, Hampden Academy, Town of Hampden, Maine
Noah Kain, Piscataquis Community High School, Town of Parkman
The scholarship program was established to support graduating seniors and first-year post-secondary students who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership, community involvement, and a commitment to building a stronger future for Maine communities.

Municipal WasteHub received more than 40 applications this year, reflecting strong interest and participation from students throughout its member communities. Following a thorough review process conducted by dedicated board members and staff, the Board approved five scholarship awards totaling $10,000.
“These students represent the future of Maine, and we are honored to support them as they pursue their educational and career goals,” said Michael Carroll, Executive Director of Municipal WasteHub. “The response to this year’s scholarship program exceeded our expectations, and we were incredibly impressed by the quality of applications, community involvement, and ambition demonstrated by students across our member communities.”
