𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝘁= 𝑀𝑖𝑠𝑠𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝐴𝑐𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑝𝑙𝑖𝑠ℎ𝑒𝑑

Today, Sheriff Gerald Sticker was proud to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with several local, state and federal partners to outline the success of the FBI’s Regional Violent Crime Task Force that kicked off at the start of summer.

📌Statewide, 662 individuals were arrested on more than 1,000 state and federal charges, 315 fi****ms, and 207 kilograms of illegal narcotics including co***ne, fentanyl, ma*****na, and methamphetamine were seized along with $325,853 in cash.
📌Greater New Orleans Area: 532 individuals arrested, 224 fi****ms, $15,167 in cash, and 137.31 kilograms of various drugs were seized including 19.39 kilograms of co***ne, 99.26 kilograms of ma*****na, and 17 kilograms of methamphetamine.

The multi-layered team, which included TPSO’s new Street Crimes Unit, had a combined mission to take down violent crime, gang activity, criminal organizations, and drug trafficking.

The effort, which included deputizing TPSO deputies with federal authority, created a powerful force multiplier in manpower, intelligence, and investigative expertise that greatly assists TPSO with its resource challenges.

“This effort isn’t over; it’s just beginning,” said Sheriff Sticker, “These results are just a taste of this initiative's effectiveness. So take note— if you’re involved in criminal activity in Tangipahoa Parish, your game is about to be over.”

🚨MISSING JUVENILE🚨
Kevin Poindexter Jr, 14 years old, resident of Hammond.

Kevin was last seen on 09/12/2026, at approximately 1:30 pm.
Kevin is a black male, 5' 07" in height, approximately 135 lbs, with black hair, brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a black hoodie with white writing, dark orange shorts, and a black book bag.

If anyone has any information on the whereabouts, please contact the Hammond Police Department at 985-277-5701.

Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1- 800-554-5245 (JAIL), where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward.

SCENE ALERT- The TPSO is assisting with the investigation of a drive-by shooting in Independence city limits that has turned deadly.

This week, the TPSO was proud to host our fellow CALEA accredited agencies from the TALON (Texas-Arkansas-Louisiana-Oklahoma Network) Accreditation Coalition, one of the many cohort groups within the organization.

The conference provided an opportunity to learn and share the modern trends and challenges within each participating agency. Attendees also visited with our first responder, government and emergency partners while getting to tour some of our parish’s trademark experiences. Shoutout to Service Communications for giving our visitors a fantastic taste of Tangi cuisine.
