SUPPORTING THE BACK TO SCHOOL BASH—Pelican State Credit Union presents a check to Hammond Mayor Pete Panepinto and City Court Judge C. Britain Sledge to support the 2026 Back to School Bash. Each year City Court partners with the City of Hammond to provide free backpacks and school supplies for students in Pre-K to 8th Grade. TPSS Summer Learning program has been blessed by community members with weekend food bags for our students. Each Thursday during Summer Learning students will bring home a food bag designed to provide them with food and snacks for the weekend. None of the food needs to be refrigerated. We are excited to provide this service, free of charge, to our TPSS families from these wonderful community sponsors.

Thanks to our wonderful community sponsors for all their time and donations for the TPSS Summer Learning Program! Volunteers were on campus today to assist with unloading all the premade bags and distributing the bags to students.

Summer Updates: SLC will run through Thursday, June 25 with the exception of Thursday, June 18. SLC is closed on June 18 in observance of Juneteenth.

The office will be closed next week. Summer hours and operations will begin on Monday, June 15. The office will be open Monday through Thursday from 7:30-4:30. Secretaries will not be back on campus until the end of July.

HHMS Boys Basketball tryouts will be held on Monday, June 1st from 5:30-7:00pm in the HHMS gym under the direction of our new head coach, Willie Chaney. All participants must have a current physical to tryout and incoming 8th graders need the 8th grade form. All forms can be found in the Athletics tab on the HHMS website.
