As a reminder, Hammond City Hall and its offices will be closed today. Our offices will resume normal business hours tomorrow, Tuesday, September 8th.

This beautiful baby was rescued by animal control from a less than ideal situation. 😢 She has now been rescued by this kind man. 😍 Happy tails sweet girl!!! I hope you have an absolutely wonderful life 💗

St Thomas More School in Munster collected a TON of donations for Hammond Animal Control as well as other local shelters!!! Truly amazing!!! These kids REALLY wanted a dress down day!! Lol. Thank you sooo much 🙏😊

Free pet microchips August 30th in Crown Point, Indiana

Address? 1676 E Summit st, Crown Point, Indiana

NO residency requirements. All welcome! No pre registration required.

Pets must be 6 weeks and older.

Dogs must be leashed and cats must be in carriers.

Microchips are free with free lifetime registration. Monetary DONATIONS are encouraged and appreciated and benefit Gary families and Gary Animal Control through Silverstray Social .

NWI STORM RELIEF — FREE PET FOOD PANTRY! 🩶

Silverstray is teaming up with Rescue Pack & Huckleberry's Snack Shack to help pet families impacted by the recent storms throughout .

While our primary access-to-care programs serve Gary pet families, we are removing jurisdictional restrictions for this special storm-relief event. If you’ve been affected and some pet food would help take one thing off your plate, come see us!

🐾 No registration necessary
🐾 Open to ALL communities
🐾 Drive-through, please remain in your vehicle
🐾 First come, first served while supplies last

We’ll also be providing take-home information on low-cost vaccines, spay/neuter, veterinary care, and personal/community resources available throughout the area.

The storms didn’t stop at city limits, and neither will this relief effort. Come to Gary. Let us help take care of your pet family for a minute.
