Post 189 would like to thank the Harris County Sheriff's Office for lending Inv. Pearson to us for the day during the American Legion Family JR Leadership Camp. His class on internet safety made a big impact on some of these kids.

“It’s an actual camp and an opportunity for kids to be kids,” said Brian Shedd, immediate past Detachment of Georgia commander, who has been co-director of Georgia’s American Legion Family Junior Leadership Camp for the past seven years alongside SAL member Richard Stanley. “We're trying to teach the children about The American Legion, about ethics, about morals.”

American Legion Post 189 - Harris County, GA Commander Craig Rowan stopped by to present a certificate of appreciation to Diverse Power and two of our linemen for their dedication and speedy restoration efforts during a recent outage at a statewide youth camp. Diverse Power Vice President of Construction Kirk King accepted the certificate(s) on behalf of the company and the linemen who completed the restoration.

While serving our members is simply part of the job, we're honored by the recognition and thankful for the opportunity to make a difference when it matters most. ⚡
