🕊️ DOVE FEST IS TOMORROW! 🕊️

Come make the Hamilton Public Library your home base for Dove Fest! Grab your family, your friends, your chairs—and come cheer on the runners and enjoy the parade. 🎉

🏃‍♀️ Dove Fest 5K — 8:00 AM
Runners will head down Henry Street for the finish.

🏃 1-Mile Fun Run — 8:10 AM
The fun run travels down Pecan and then onto Henry Street to the finish line.

🎉 Dove Fest Parade — 10:00 AM
Stick around and enjoy the parade from your front-row spot!

🪑 Bring your chairs & wear comfortable walking shoes! You might even back your pickup into a parking spot and create your own prime viewing area. 😉 Just come early—roads will begin closing for the races and parade, so parking and access will get more difficult as the morning goes on.

🌯 And don’t forget breakfast! We’ll have delicious breakfast burritos for sale, with 100% of the proceeds supporting Hamilton Public Library. ❤️📚

As we turn the page to a new month, we’ve got lots of opportunities to learn, create, connect and have a little fun!

✨ September highlights:

🕊️ Hamilton County Dove Festival Parade – Join us for the parade and grab a breakfast burrito while supporting your library!
💻 Girls Who Code begins Sept. 8 for girls in 5th–8th grade
🎉 Hamilton County Young Life returns Sept. 14 with a Paint War!
🎨 Art Club Interest Meeting – Sept. 15
📚 Story Explorers (K–2) & Story Engineers (3–5) return with stories and hands-on fun
⚡ Teen Tech: Light-Up Cards – Sept. 17 & Oct. 1
⛳ Love Your Library Golf Tournament and hamburger dinner – Sept. 19, benefiting library programming
✍️ Book Singing with author Drew Dabbs – Sept. 22
🌿 The Art of the Reset with Amy Cowart, PMHNP-BC – Sept. 24

And, of course, we have our regular Yoga, Mahjong, ESL, Story Starters, Fiber Arts and Book Club programs throughout the month!

🌟 This month also marks the beginning of HPL’s Texas State Library and Archives Commission accreditation for 2027! We’re excited to keep growing the possibilities behind your library card and bringing even more value to our community.

📲 Make a note: Beginning September 29, Libby App will require a password to log in. Your HPL password is simply the phone number on file with your library card.
