What does it feel like to be the BEST? 💛

We asked our preschoolers… and their answers say it all. 😊

Behind those smiles and moments is why we do what we do. Every day, our team shows up to support children, strengthen families, and remove barriers to learning across our community. This work is bigger than any one role — it’s a shared commitment to making a difference.

We are honored to be VOTED the Best Community Supporter and Best Place to Work in the 2026 Best of Butler County awards — for the second year in a row.

This recognition belongs to our staff and the communities we serve. Thank you for being part of it. 💛

At the Butler County Educational Service Center, we believe that every child and every family deserves access to the support they need to succeed. This mission comes to life through our powerful partnerships with school districts across the region, including our recent work in Monroe Local Schools, Fairfield City School District, Ross Local School District, Mason City Schools, Edgewood City Schools, Middletown City Schools, Springboro Schools, and Richard Allen Schools. Led by Kelly Miller, an advanced trainer and coach through the Center for Applied Linguistics, these collaborations are transforming how educators support our culturally and linguistically diverse students.

By spending time directly in the classroom before professional development sessions begin, Kelly is able to identify unique instructional strengths and create a personalized roadmap for every educator she supports. This "in-the-trenches" approach ensures that teachers aren’t just receiving a lecture, but are instead gaining practical, research-based strategies like SIOP and Text Engineering that they can implement immediately. From analyzing language proficiency data to co-planning argumentative essay units and building background knowledge, our goal is to ensure every teacher feels confident and every student feels seen.

We are proud to serve as a trusted partner to our local schools as they intentionally build capacity and meet the highest standards for English language instruction. Together, we are not just meeting requirements; we are leading with compassion and staying committed to the future of public education. When we empower our teachers with the right tools, we create an environment where all learners can thrive.

We are proud to partner with Fairfield City Schools Ohio to bring our Butler County Success Liaisons and their services to the Fairfield community.

Join Us Friday at Fairfield Rotary!

We’re pleased to welcome Matt Crapo from Fairfield City Schools as our speaker next week. Matt will be sharing about the School Liaison Program and the important work happening through the Butler County Success Program.

This program helps remove non-academic barriers to learning by building strong connections between home, school, and community. By supporting students and families, the program helps improve school success, stability, and self-reliance for students across our community.

It’s a great opportunity to learn how local partnerships are helping students succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

Come learn how our community is working together to support the next generation!

📚 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡-𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧!

Last week, our Curriculum Specialist Robin Szary provided professional development at Twin Valley Community Local Schools, focusing on instructional practices that make the greatest difference for students.

Grounded in John Hattie’s Visible Learning research, educators explored high-impact strategies like teacher clarity, effective feedback, and student goal setting to maximize their impact on student achievement.

We’re proud to partner with districts to support teaching and learning that drives real results for students. 💛

💛 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

After recent flooding impacted some of our preschool classrooms, our dedicated staff quickly shifted to supporting students through Zoom meetings and home visits to ensure learning and connection continued.

That’s when the MidPointe Library in Trenton stepped in. Not only did they generously offer their space for our students to gather once a week, they also created a full sensory play experience with engaging toys, play sets, and resources for our young learners.

Because of this partnership, our preschoolers are able to reconnect with friends, explore, and learn together again.

We are incredibly grateful to MidPointe Library for stepping up for our families. This is what community partnership looks like—and the impact it can have on children and families when we come together.

Today is the final day to vote in the 2026 Best of Butler County Awards, and before anything else — we just want to say how grateful we are.

Our staff are the reason we’re recognized as a Best Community Supporter and Best Place to Work. They show up every single day with heart, dedication, and action.

But we couldn’t do this work without the support of this incredible community — our families, partners, and friends who believe in what we do.

If you have a moment, we’d be honored if you would vote for us one last time today in:
🏆 Best Community Supporter
🏆 Best Place to Work
