A township resident had a party, and more touch football happened than eating which left them with around 20 pizzas extra. They stopped to see if we had any idea how to get it to people and not the trash. We like to think of ourselves as problem solvers so we were able to coordinate getting pizzas to Putnam Township Fire Department, Brighton Area Fire Authority, and to Green Oak Charter Township Fire Department. We all appreciated a quick and easy dinner!

Hopefully our residents 30th birthday went well, and thank you again for thinking of us.

A set of keys were left at our front desk. Unfortunately, without the keys, the owner is currently experiencing the ultimate inconvenience… not being able to drive their car.

Good Afternoon! After the storms came through, many are still without power which we can sympathize with. However, it is vitally important for the safety of you and your families that if you choose to run a generator, you use it properly. We have run multiple calls for Carbon Monoxide in residences today, and have listenened to many many calls throughout the county come in today for it as well.

Do not run a generator indoors ever, for any reason. Generators should be kept 20' away from any doors/windows/vents/exhausts.

CO is the silent killer, please follow manufacturer recommendations for your generator. If you have a whole house generator, they also can cause these same issues. Ensure you have working alarms.

Throughout September, our Fire crews will be stepping out in yellow as we swap our standard uniform shirts for the Michigan Yellow Rose Campaign shirts.

September is National Su***de Prevention Awareness Month. The Yellow Rose Campaign serves as a powerful symbol of hope, solidarity, and memory—reminding our community and fellow first responders that mental health matters, you are never alone, and help is always available.

First responders and community members face challenges every day, but some of the hardest battles are the ones fought in silence. Wearing these yellow rose shirts is our way of making a visible commitment to:

-Break the stigma surrounding mental health and asking for help.
-Open up conversations within our department and our community.
-Honor the lives of those lost to su***de and support the loved ones left behind.

💕SHE IS HOME SAFE🐶

🐾 FOUND DOG — HELP US GET HER HOME🐾

This sweet pup was found off of Pettysville Rd and is currently safe, but we’d love to get her back home to her family.

If you recognize her or know who she belongs to, please reach out! Even a share can help us find her family. 🐶🏡

We will be taking her to Livingston County Animal Shelter if her family is not located in an hour. She’s getting spoiled right now, but she would probably love to go home!💙

🚓🚒A few of our Fire Department and Police Department members had the pleasure of meeting Justice, a therapy horse from Tiny Treasures Therapy Horses. Justice and his mom were visiting Hampton Manor of Hamburg today. Justice brought smiles to everyone’s faces while happily soaking up all the attention. We’re always galloping toward new ways to connect with our community, and it was amazing getting to see firsthand how this little guy can make such a big impact.

A big thank you to Tiny Treasures Therapy Horses for introducing us to Justice and supporting our community. 🐴💙

🚒🚓National Night Out & Touch-a-Truck🚓🚒

Our department had a blast attending National Night Out in Northfield Twp and Touch-a-Truck at Mount Brighton. It was wonderful getting to spend time with the community and give them an up close look at our vehicles and equipment. Events like this are a great reminder that community relationships are at the heart of public safety. We appreciate everyone who stopped by, made a goodie bag and tried on some equipement. A big thank you to Northfield Township Police Department & Northfield Township Fire Department for hosting National Night Out and SELCRA for hosting Touch-a-Truck.
