At 405 PM, a line of moderate to heavy rain and embedded snow showers, with accompanying strong wind gusts, was approaching far western New York. This will cross Western New York through early this evening while producing a round of briefly moderate to heavy rain/snow and strong wind gusts to as high as 60-65 mph, with the strongest gusts found near Lake Erie. Behind this line, winds may drop off temporarily, before picking up again out of the southwest this evening.

While overall accumulations will be minor in most areas, snow showers moving through the region are leading to poor visibilities and deteriorating road conditions. Be extra cautious and give yourself plenty of time if traveling this afternoon.
