Pumpkin Decorating Contest 2026

🎃Decorate a pumpkin or gourd—real or fake—anyway you like: glue, paint, carve, or all of the above!
🎃Please keep pumpkins appropriate for viewing of all ages. Pumpkins deemed inappropriate by library staff will be disqualified.
🎃Take a picture of your pumpkin with a piece of paper next to it that says “HCPL Pumpkin Contest 2026”. To ensure your pumpkin gets entered, please do not include people in the picture of your pumpkin.
🎃Submit the online form (tinyurl.com/HCPLPumpkin) by Thursday, October 22. Please note: by submitting this form, you are allowing pictures of your pumpkin or your child’s pumpkin to be posted on the Library’s social media and on the City of Haltom City’s web page.
🎃Judging will take place online from October 26 to October 29. We will post the link on social media. Winners will be announced on October 30.

Bring the whole family to the library after hours for an indoor HOOOWLING Halloween extravaganza! We will have different stations for trick or treating, games, and more! Costumes are not required but they are encouraged. Registration is not required this year, so this event is while supplies last.

Stop the Bleed
Thursday, October 22 at 6:30 pm

Participants will learn first aid for bleeding caused by major trauma including the use of tourniquets and compression bandages.
