You have been waiting for almost a year. It's almost time for BURGERS-N-BINGO! Be sure to get your tickets as soon as possible. Tickets are $25 IN ADVANCE or $30 at the door on August 23, 2025.

HALTOM SENIOR CENTER RECOGNIZED FOR LIFE-SAVING CONTRIBUTIONS
Jan 13, 2025 City Council Meeting

The Haltom Senior Center received special recognition on Monday during a successful blood drive hosted in partnership with Carter BloodCare. Mayor An Truong, Senior Center Supervisor Bobbi Arthur, and Carter BloodCare Field Recruitment Consultant Colleen Horan were present as the center was presented with a plaque honoring its exceptional efforts to support life-saving blood donations.

The drive collected 12 pints of blood, bringing the year’s total donations at the Haltom Senior Center to an impressive 95 pints. With each pint potentially helping up to three patients, this means up to 285 lives have been positively impacted through the center's efforts.

Colleen Horan expressed Carter BloodCare’s deep gratitude to the Haltom Senior Center and everyone who contributed to making these blood drives a success. Mayor Truong and Bobbi Arthur also praised the dedication of the donors and staff, highlighting the center's ongoing commitment to serving the community.

Thank you to all the donors, staff, and supporters for their generosity—your efforts continue to save lives!

Haltom City Senior Center paint slingers class presented a check for $3200.00 before lunch today. Sheila Cahill, painting instructors class created beautiful paintings that Wayne and Lin Thompson coordinated and made into a calendar and sold with proceeds going into the senior center fund. Center council and staff along with center friends are grateful to everyone who made the calendars possible and appreciate everyone who purchased the calendars. Tonight the check was again presented at Haltom City, TX - Government council meeting to acknowledge everyone's support for the calendar sales.

WASTE CONNECTIONS TRASH SERVICE
No Friday service, will be picked up on Saturday Jan 11, 2025

We have received word form Waste Connections that most of our residential routes for today are near completion. Those residents with Friday routes will be serviced on Saturday, Jan 11, 2025, as Waste Connections will not be running operations on Friday, Jan 10.
For commercial/roll off industrial businesses, Waste Connections is suspending service Friday Jan 10, 2025 as well. They will reconvene on Saturday, picking up the missed commercial Friday routes.

A great evening on the big bus. Haltom City Senior Center friends went to see The Gift of Lights at TMS. Lots of chatter and laughter throughout the tour. Great time to be together!
