Congratulations to all of our amazing artists who competed in VASE this year! A total of 79 artworks advanced to Area and of those 79 artworks, 9 advanced to State. They are Hannah Parish, Maddie Weaver, Maddie Hopper, Andrew Rodriguez with 2 pieces, Abigail Mulcahy, Theo Stopani, Ali Patterson and Joy Maertins. Way to go, Bobcats!

Congratulations to senior Nic Dickson whose artwork was chosen for the Youth Art Month Spring Exhibition. Nic’s work will be on display at the Bullick Texas State History Museum in Austin for the next month. We are so proud of our Bobcat Artist!

Congratulations to the Hallsville High School Art students who were selected for the Kilgore College New Talent 24 Student show. Out of more than 200 artworks from 15 different East Texas schools, KC selected 40 pieces to include in their student show this year. Of those 40 artworks, eight Hallsville works by Senior artists Mcelvey Page, Abrielle Taylor and Aliah Rodriguez and Junior artist Sofi Astrand were selected. In the Junior category, Sofi Astrand earned 1st place. In the Senior category, Mcelvey Page earned Best of Show and received a $2,000 scholarship. Congratulations ladies on your amazing artistic accomplishments!

Congratulations to our Bobcat Artists who competed at the Regional/Area VASE competition this weekend! Of the 86 artworks Hallsville took for about 70 kids, 65 artworks advanced to Area. Of those 65 artworks, a whopping 11 students with 13 artworks advanced to the State competition in April. Way to go Bobcats!
