👷‍♂️🚧Construction Update – Hot Rubber Chipseal
All States Materials, Inc. (ASMI) will be starting construction tomorrow morning, Friday, August 28. They will be applying the top course of hot rubber chipseal to the seven roads that had the first phase of construction completed at the end of June. The plan is to begin on Brandeis Circle at approximately 7:30 a.m. This is a relatively fast process. The crew will spray the hot rubber mixture onto the roadway, followed by a truck placing treated pea stone over the hot rubber. Vibratory rollers will then compact the stone into the hot rubber, followed by sweepers removing the excess stone. The roads will remain open to residents during the work. Residents should be aware of where the crew are working and use caution when traveling through the work area. If the crew is working near your driveway and you need to get out, please ask one of the workers for assistance so they can safely allow you to exit. There is one change from the letter that was previously sent to residents affected by the construction. ASMI will not be working on Saturday. Instead, they are hoping to complete the remaining work on Monday. Thank you for your patience and cooperation while this work is being completed.

Fun time last night at the library’s transportation night. The Highway Department had 5 pieces of equipment, and the loader had the snow pusher so the kids could place their hand print. I want to THANK the Highway personnel Tom, Marc, Ed, and Colin that volunteered their Monday night to help make it a successful night.
