Caltrans continues work on the SR-1 Project and will be paving Frontage Road between Wave Avenue and Farmer John's Pumpkin Farm on June 15–16.
As a result, driveway access will be restricted on June 15 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for properties located within the work zone referenced above.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to plan ahead by:
• Moving vehicles before work begins
• Using Kehoe Avenue for neighborhood access
• Observing temporary no-parking zones, where towing will be enforced
• Planning for driveway access to resume at 5:00 p.m. on June 15
Questions? Frontage Road residents may contact Roberto Rodriguez with OC Jones & Sons, Inc. at (510) 359-3994.

Caltrans appreciates the community's patience and cooperation while this work is completed. These improvements are intended to enhance roadway conditions and improve safety for residents, motorists, and visitors.

With the unofficial start of summer bringing larger crowds to enjoy the coast, local agencies are reminding visitors to stay alert,

If you plan on coming to the beach, remember these important safety tips:
-Allow for extra time and prepare for increased traffic, especially on the weekends.
-Drive sober, eliminate distractions, and drive safely.
-Stay off rocks and never turn your back on the ocean; powerful waves can suddenly sweep people into the water.
-Stay alert at the beach and keep children within arm’s reach at all times.
-Know the risks even on calm days. Sudden large waves and strong currents can pull swimmers away from shore.

Deputies and first responders will be keeping an eye on our beaches. If you see someone in need of assistance, call 911.

Share these tips with family and friends to keep our community safe.
