The Haines City Police Department is dedicated to providing quality professional law enforcement service to our residents and to those who visit our beautiful city. We are committed to maintaining an active partnership with the community in order to achieve department goals. Among those goals is our concern that every citizen be safe in his or her home and business. Also, that by providing a safe

and orderly environment, citizens may maintain their individual dignity, feel free to live, work and play without fear of being victims of crime and disorder. The purpose of the Haines City Police Department page is to share our information with the public. We try to keep our posts to business, where we can partner with our community members to solve crimes; but also to occasionally include more light-hearted posts to show the general public that we are real people who also like to have fun. However, please note that we have the right to hide and/or delete any comments that we deem to be inappropriate, as well ban users from our page. Such comments may include those which are obscene or offensive; directly attacking other users or members of the HCPD; comments which do not directly relate to the post itself; comments that promote illegal activity.

The kids came prepared, and so did we.

This afternoon, the Haines City Police Department teamed up with the Haines City Fire Department for a friendly water battle with children attending the Haines City Parks & Recreation Summer Camp. Water balloons flew, water guns were put to the test, and firefighters even brought out a fire truck and hose line to help keep everyone cool.

Events like these give us the opportunity to build positive relationships with the youth in our community while having a little fun along the way.

A big thank you to Haines City Parks & Recreation for inviting us out. We may have had backup from the Fire Department, but the kids definitely had us outnumbered. 💦🚔
