Supporting youth today means building brighter futures tomorrow.

The Advocates provides a continuum of care for kids and teens in our community—from safe and stable housing and mentorship to early learning, prevention, education, and support.

Each program looks a little different, but they share a common goal: helping children build healthy relationships, find connection and belonging, and have the support they need as they grow.

Healthy relationships are something we can learn.

Last year, 651 local middle school students participated in The Advocates' prevention curriculum, learning about topics including boundary setting, communication, and bystander intervention.

As students head back to the classroom, The Advocates continues its work with young people through prevention and education, giving students opportunities to learn skills that help build safe and respectful relationships.

Prevention starts with education.

The Advocates works with young people in our community to talk about healthy relationships and give students tools they can use in their own lives.

Through prevention education, local students learn about topics including communication, boundary setting, and bystander intervention.

It's one more way The Advocates works with young people as they grow.

Most days at The Advocates, the number of children we serve outnumbers the adults.

We understand the stress and the relief that can come with sending kids back to school. As families throughout the Wood River Valley settle into a new school year, we're highlighting some of the ways The Advocates supports children and teens as they learn, grow, and build healthy relationships.

From bilingual early learning at THRIVE Kids to prevention education and opportunities for teens through Every Teen Counts, we're proud to support young people in our community.
