Wilton on Jackson Creek Wilton was built in 1737 and is located in Westmoreland County on Jackson Creek near Hague, VA.

It is an excellent example of high Georgian style constructed of brick in Flemish bond with glazed headers.

When restoring the smokehouse, I found these 3 items hanging in the beams. They were used for holding large pieces of meat or a ham.

Cleaned them up, gave them a linseed oil bath and returned them to the smokehouse.

Putting up wainscoting in study & dining room on wood framed walls first. This job is what I’d call “low hanging fruit.” When I get to the brick walls, it becomes a little more challenging.
