What an incredible day out on the doors! 🌊 We had a fantastic door-knocking event in support of Delegate Matthew Schindler and our educator-endorsed candidates.
It was great to join community members and elected leaders from all across Maryland who came out to knock doors with us. Having that kind of heavy-hitting support show up right here in Washington County proves the momentum is real, a blue wave is building across the county, and our district is right at the center of it!
Delegate Schindler has been fighting hard for Hagerstown, and we need to keep him in Annapolis working for us.
🗓️ Election Day is Tuesday, November 3rd!
Remember to vote to re-elect Matthew Schindler for Delegate in District 2B. Let’s keep progress moving forward and elect democrats in Washington county!!!🗳️💙

And a good time was had by all… Special thanks to Washington County Democrats for Action

We held our second meeting; we had food, a farm tour, and fun. We are planning our next outing, a float trip, in early August! Stay tuned!

Youth Voices Leading the Way in MD-06! 🗳️

This weekend, history was made in downtown Hagerstown! The newly formed Washington County Young Democrats teamed up with our neighbors from the Mountain Maryland, Frederick County, and Montgomery County chapters to host a powerful candidate forum at the Washington County Free Library during Hagerstown Pride.

Our coalition brought candidates directly to the table to answer tough questions on the issues that matter most to the future of our region: the rising cost of living, healthcare, daycare access, student debt, and the future of AI data centers in our communities.

Thank you to candidates Ethan Wechtaluk, George Gluck, Alexis Goldstein, Kiambo White and Mark Wilks for showing up, listening to young voters, and sharing your visions for Maryland. We send our thoughts to David Trone, who missed the event due to an urgent family matter. Incumbent April McClain Delaney and candidate Daniel Krakower did not attend the forum.

From standing up for local community voices in the Williamsport warehouse debate to organizing across county lines, young people are proving that we aren’t just the future we are actively shaping the present. Thank you to everyone who came out to make your voice heard!

Please join us at the Library, 100 South Potomac Street, Hagerstown, Maryland, for a candidate forum. To connect youth across the 6th congressional district with all candidates. This is a collaboration between all Young Democrats chapters in the 6th district. We are so grateful to be able to host in our great county, the center of contentious debate, with a planned ICE detention center that local republican leaders welcomed. This is truly a unique opportunity and shows the power of young people to be listened to, but now we must show up.
