π₯ WCESP Nomination Ballots Are Out π₯
Check your work and personal email-Nomination ballots came out today for the positions of President, Treasurer, MSEA Delegate, and NEA Delegate.
This is an important opportunity for members to have a voice in who represents us and who helps carry our concerns forward.
Most people are familiar with the roles of President and Treasurer, but the MSEA Delegate and NEA Delegate positions are also very important.
β What does an MSEA Delegate do β
An MSEA Delegate represents our local union at the state level through the Maryland State Education Association. Delegates attend the MSEA Representative Assembly, where they vote on issues, policies, priorities, and decisions that affect education employees across Maryland.
In simple terms:
MSEA Delegates help make sure ESP voices are heard beyond Washington County.
β What does an NEA Delegate do β
An NEA Delegate represents members at the national level through the National Education Association. NEA Delegates attend the NEA Representative Assembly, where education employees from across the country come together to debate, vote, and help shape the direction of the national union.
In simple terms:
NEA Delegates help bring our local concerns to the national conversation.
π₯ Why nominations matter π₯
Nominating someone is the first step in making sure members have choices when it is time to vote. If you know someone who listens, communicates, shows up, asks questions, and is willing to advocate for ESPs, consider writing their name on the nomination ballot.
You can also nominate yourself.
Our union is only as strong as the participation of its members. Please take a few minutes to complete your nomination ballot and make your voice heard.
β¨ Your voice matters. Your nomination matters. Our representation matters. β¨
