The Washington County Board of Elections invites the public to attend several upcoming election-related events for the June 23, 2026 Gubernatorial Primary Election, including voting equipment demonstrations, mail-in ballot canvasses, and election results tabulation activities.

Please note that the ballot canvass previously scheduled for June 1 has been canceled due to an insufficient number of ballots available for canvassing at that time.

The June 8 canvass will proceed as scheduled, regardless of the number of ballots received by that date.

As a reminder, the next scheduled event is the public demonstration of voting equipment on June 4.

All events will be held at the Washington County Election Center:

Attendees will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement. Please note that cell phones and other electronic devices are prohibited in certain ballot processing areas.

📢 IMPORTANT MAIL-IN BALLOT UPDATE

The Maryland State Board of Elections has announced that replacement ballots are being mailed to impacted voters across Maryland, including Washington County. All replacement ballots are expected to be mailed by tomorrow — two days ahead of schedule.

⚠️ If you receive a replacement ballot:
✔️ Dispose of your original ballot
✔️ Vote and return ONLY the replacement ballot

Replacement ballots may be returned by drop box, at an Early Voting Center, at your polling place on Election Day, by mail postmarked no later than June 23, or directly to your local board of elections office.

The State and Local Boards of Elections continue working together to ensure a transparent and secure election process. Additional information will be shared as it becomes available.
