I am pleased to announce that the contracts have been awarded and we will continue to serve our community. Thanks to all for your support. Also, special thanks to commissioners Burns and Butters for their continued support. Please take a moment to thank them for their help.

The Wayne County commissioners have announced that they will meet in a special session at 1:30 PM on Thursday, December 13, to discuss ambulance proposals and that they intend to award contracts at that time. The meeting will be held in the commissioners chambers and is open to the public. Please contact your commissioners and make your opinions known to them.

Well folks. I have some interesting information as well as many questions ! I just heard a rumor that I have sold the ambulance service. Nothing could be further from the truth ! Not t only had it not happened but has never even been proposed! I can also let you know that our contract with Wayne County expires at the end of this year. Our proposal, as one of the county’s oldest providers, has been submitted. It is my understanding that there have been other proposals submitted for this area. One from a provider that is based in Ohio. The other from Reid Hospital. The Ohio based provider does hold a valid Indiana provider certification. Reid has a non transport certification that is currently listed as expired. If you are currently satisfied with the service we provide, please make your county commissioners aware of your thoughts. It has been our honor to serve this community for nearly 50 years. We hope to continue the tradition! Thanks in advance for your support !!!!

It is now official. The Wayne County Commissioners opted today to contract with us for the next 3 years. We certainly thank each of you for your continued support. We will continue to do our best to merit your trust. For the first time in many years, all 911 ambulance providers are locally owned. Congratulations to Dublin EMS for continuing coverage of the southwest portion and to Redline as the new provider on the east side.

Once again, it appears that county government is giving consideration to a company with no ties to Wayne County. This company, by it's own website, states that it is not a 911 ambulance service, but rather, a supplement to 911 services. There are bids on the table from three providers who are all 100% based and owned within Wayne County. Three years ago, you all spoke very clearly to the commissioners and told them that you preferred your tax dollars spent within the county. I ask you, once again, to share your feeling with those who will be making this decision. Your support will, once again, be greatly appreciated. It has been our privilege to serve this community for more than 45 years and hope to continue for a very long time.

To let everyone know. The Wayne County Commissioners will be opening proposals for emergency medical service today. This will be for a contract that will cover the net three years. We have been advised that no action will be taken today. We have wrapped up our 45th year of service to our community and certainly hope to continue into the future. If you are satisfied with the service you are receiving, please let your commissioners know that you would support continuing as we are. Thanks for your support over the years and we hope to be here for you in the future.
