September is Su***de Prevention & Awareness Month. 💜
This month holds a very personal meaning for me.
When I was 11 years old, I lost my dad unexpectedly in a motorcycle accident. Losing him changed my life in ways I could have never imagined. In the years that followed, the grief became overwhelming, and there was a point in my life when I struggled so deeply that I didn’t want to be here anymore.
For a long time, I thought I had to carry that pain by myself. But I learned that asking for help is not a sign of weakness—it is a sign of strength. With the right support, people who loved me, and the decision to keep going one day at a time, I found hope again.
Today, I get to stand here and share a story I once never thought I would be able to tell.
If you are struggling, please know this you are not alone, your story is not over, and there is always hope beyond the moment you are in. You do not have to have all the answers. You just have to be willing to reach out.
Sometimes, the strongest thing we can do is simply stay.
If you or someone you know is struggling, call or text **988** to connect with the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. There is help, there is hope, and there is a reason to keep going. 💜
