đź’™ What is the DDA?
DDA stands for the Developmental Disabilities Administration.
In Maryland, the DDA supports eligible people with developmental disabilities by connecting them to services and resources that can help them live the life they choose.
Depending on a person's needs and eligibility, supports may include things like:
🏠Support at home and in the community
👥 Personal support
đź’™ Respite
đź’Ľ Employment and job supports
🧰 Assistive technology
🌱 Services that support independence and community participation
The DDA process can feel overwhelming at first—and you're not expected to figure it out alone.
Understanding what DDA is, who may qualify, and how to apply is often the first step.
