Hagerstown Maryland Summer Homeless Shelters Incorporated It is an all volunteer homeless shelter program. Everybody works/contributes to the program and anyone who does can stay in the shelters.

My program has evolved over time. My clearest picture of it now is of the homeless financing their way into a shelter with their labor.
___Since the properties would greatly increase in value they could be sold to buy more properties. They could be financed to buy more properties or they could be held as rentals to finance both materials to fix up more properties or buy more.
___I see no reason this could not grow into a very large operation.
___Our country is in the process of producing far more hopelessness. |
__So the raw materials of labor and empty houses will be plentiful as well as building materials.

This program is for everybody. It is not just for the homeless.
___The homeless get a safe place to stay in exchange for a small part of their spare time.
___I get to invest in properties that I pan on leaving to children that I don't have yet or to just let the state have for auction.
___I love the creation of wealth and I need to keep busy and to exercise.
___Those people who either buy the buildings of already own them get them fixed in the cheapest way available.
___The tenants get cheaper rent. That will allow the landlords to make more from the properties.
___They have lower original costs. Hy-Teck paint will lower energy costs.
___Restoration of the old decorations and proper protection of them will keep them available for future generations.
___Additional security will make them less prone to damage from the outside.
___No means testing of tenants will allow people who need to patch up their finances to do so.
___In particular this will be a real opportunity for people to pay off student loan's and still be adults away from their parents.
___Splitting apartments up into single room rentals with shared kitchens was done 40 years ago in Langley Park. So I have no doubt it will work for people here as well.
___Bringing more people to the city center will make things better for the shops there.
___With cars to expensive because of government mandates fewer people will have them.
___The City Of Hagerstown has been engineered for people to be able to walk to where they can get everything they need.
___We are short a few small stores to make thing really convenient to do that. I feel confident that the store people will see those opportunities.
___Now since I have probably taken this program 20 years into the future I will leave it up to you.
___I sure hope it starts soon. I am bored with it.
___I will start spending my money soon even if not on this.

I have really been trying to get a building. The one I want apparently can't be financed. A bank already owns it. If I can find out what that bank is I might be able to make a deal. One where they get money with no more risk than they already have.
___I still hope to get the building.
___This project will work. It just needs to get started.
___I have done a great deal of planning. Now is the time to move on it.
___There are other possibilities. I have three houses in mind. One of those might be financeable .
____My delema comes from the fact that I need a fixer upper.
___Banks don't like them. I consider them to be super cheap raw materials.
____If the homeless are to ever work their way into housing it will have to be done with this kind of leverage.
____They simply can't afford to pay more.

I still have not found the money to make this happen. A better house is on auction but I do not have the money to make a bid. It is a 6 bedroom. The bid now it 20,000$.

___I am still working on this for the IRS but I have his another road block. They still have not sent me the proper corporate papers. I have to erase the information that is included from this. But this should give you a pretty clear picture of my plan.
___
My activities past , present and planned concerning the Corporation
[ Hagerstown Maryland Summer Homeless Shelters Incorporated ].

I got the idea from Face book about a year ago. It has changed much since then. Basically it is a program to get a lot of the homeless off of the streets. So as for the past I have been studying and thinking about the problem. My studies if buildings go back to childhood. That was the early sixty's. About 25 years ago I built a mini-house. I do not plan on following that plan. It would be good for hermits scattered across the countryside.
As for the present I am setting up the Corporation to handle the money and the advertising.
So I am filing this form so I can have the tools to collect the money. It is just me doing this now. A number of people have volunteered. I have not met with them yet. I can work without pay because I receive SSI.
Plans for the future.
Collect funds and volunteers so I can get a run down but solid building. The funds will be used for supplies, utilities and building materials if needed to make the building a find place to live in. The rest of the funding will come from volunteer labor, both the homeless and all others who want to help.
I of course will supply labor. I won't be at the building when and remolding id being done. I am an disruptive influence. I will still be working though. Getting supplies, doing paper work, looking at buildings. Basically shopping for more buildings for more people and buying the more time to be in them. I can't give an exact percentage of my time but I expect it to be full time.
Once I get a building by making a deal with the owners of trading the work of the homeless and other volunteers at fixing it up for 2 or more years of use of the building and I hope that the owner will supply the building materials to do it. If they can't I will ask for more time with the building. And have the corporation buy the materials or have somebody donate some.
___ Since they will be living inside they will be available so that their mental, physical and economic needs can be dealt with by social workers in one place and they will be able to improve their clothes and all of their possessions because they have a secure place to keep them.
It is to be hoped that with benefit checks and the habit of taking care of the building a rental agreement can be reached so they can stay there indefinitely.
It could be with them or with the corporation. The corporation could provide the benefit to the landlord of replacement tenants when he looses some.
This program unlike others will be 24/7. These houses will be intended to be homes for the homeless. Not just a temporary resting place. Of course the shelter will be open to others in severe weather situations and other emergencies.
I do not at this time plan on having any employees.
