☀️ School’s out and summer is officially here! The Washington County Department of Parks & Recreation is excited to announce that registration for the 2026 Summer Camps is still open!

Our youth summer camps, designed for children ages 5 to 12, offer seven weeks of fun-filled experiences at convenient locations across the county. Campers will enjoy a variety of engaging activities including crafts, sports, and games that promote creativity, teamwork, and active play.

Camp locations for 2026 include:

Marty Snook Park
Maugansville and Rockland Woods
Williamsport Park

Washington County Parks & Recreation announces the temporary closure of several public tennis courts as part of scheduled resurfacing and maintenance improvements. These projects are designed to enhance playing conditions and extend the life of the courts for residents and visitors.

The tentative project schedule, weather permitting, is as follows:

🎾 June 8, 2026: Resurfacing efforts begin at Martin L. "Marty" Snook Park and Chestnut Grove Park. Work is expected to take a little over one week to complete.
🎾 June 15, 2026: Painting and surface improvements begin at Regional Park. Work is expected to take a little over one week to complete.
🎾 June 17, 2026: Painting and surface improvements begin at Pleasant Valley Park. Work is expected to take a little over one week to complete.

During construction, the affected tennis courts will be closed to the public. Patrons are asked to respect all posted closures and avoid entering work areas for their safety and the integrity of the resurfacing process.

This Memorial Day, the Washington County Department of Parks & Recreation honors and remembers the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.

As we gather with family and friends this holiday weekend, we pause to reflect on the courage, service, and sacrifice of those who gave their lives to protect our freedoms. We are forever grateful for their dedication and for the families who carry their legacy forward.
