We are excited to introduce the collaborative effort of The Gooding County Sheriff’s Office, the Hagerman Fire/EMS District, and the Bliss Rural Fire District: the Gooding County Swiftwater Rescue Team. Comprising eleven dedicated members from each agency, our team is committed to responding promptly to all water rescue emergencies within Gooding County.

Our coverage extends across approximately twenty miles of the Snake River and encompasses all waterways within our jurisdiction. With the evolving landscape of recreational activities, including the expansion of Billingsley Creek State Park, the burgeoning tourism in the Hagerman Valley, and the introduction of jet ski rentals at Banbury Hot Springs, the need for our services has become imperative. Additionally, initiatives like Idaho Southern Tourism's promotion of Blue Heart and night kayaking further underscore the necessity for our swift and efficient response.

By strategically locating all Swiftwater Rescue equipment in Hagerman and Bliss, we aim to minimize response times and ensure the safety of our community members and visitors alike. Your generous support is instrumental in enabling us to fulfill our mission effectively.
