How do you and your family help to conserve water?

Water usage from winter to summer increases by about 30%! We can save millions of gallons of water daily by:
🌻reducing lawn and landscaping water,
🚗limiting car washing, and
🪥turning off the tap while brushing teeth

👉 Reminder: Starting May 4, 2022, New Jersey retail stores, grocery stores and food service businesses may not provide or sell single-use plastic carryout bags and polystyrene foam food service products.
☝🏼 Single-use paper carryout bags are allowed to be provided or sold, except by grocery stores equal to or larger than 2,500 square feet, which may only provide or sell reusable carryout bags. (Since November 4, 2021, plastic straws may be provided only upon the request of the customer).

**RECYCLING CHANGES**
Starting May 1st, the rules for recycling plastic containers have changed! Only plastic containers with #1 & #2 on the bottom will be accepted.

Here is a reminder list of allowable items for blue cans:
• glass bottles and jars • aluminum and steel cans • aluminum and steel lids • Plastic bottles and jars with #1 or #2 found on the bottom • milk and juice cartons •
Newspaper • mixed paper including junk mail • magazines • catalogs • school papers • office papers• paper packaging • paperboard cartons for foods such as cereal boxes, pasta boxes and tissue boxes • softcover books • phone books • cardboard • paper towel and toilet paper inserts
