had a new Chief reporting for duty last week! At the Annual “Chief for a Day” program, Prosecutor Musella and Chief Angermeyer welcomed "Chief Gia" from Wyckoff as our honorary Chief of Detectives. Among her first orders of business was to recognize her brother, Troy, as “Deputy Chief.” We thank the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office for sponsoring this amazing event, as well as Judge Catuogno, and all who helped make that day special for our young Chief.

Prosecutor Musella and congratulate Sgt. Steven Quintano of our Fatal Accident Investigation Unit on receiving the Chief Jack Sprengel Award from the Bergen County Traffic Officers Association. The award recognizes an officer’s contributions in promoting traffic safety within Bergen County.

On behalf of Bergen County law enforcement, Prosecutor Musella thanks Congressman Josh Gottheimer for his successful efforts to acquire federal funds to assist local agencies with expenses as NJ hosts the FIFA World Cup games. Officers will be working overtime throughout the county to keep residents and visiting sports fans safe.

The internship program provides rising undergraduate seniors and 3L law students with the opportunity to work alongside assistant prosecutors, detectives and support staff and explore the different career paths has to offer.
