The event is free for everyone, but you must be 21+ to enter the beer gardens.

✨ Anderson St Gamily Fun Day! ✨
Mark your calendars for on Oct. 3 from 10AM to 2PM. We’re taking over Anderson Street Park for Illumination 250’s Family Fun Festival!

Explore the stunning installation by Kate Eggleston, Quilt Trail 🧵 She’s transforming the park into a walk through exploration of the City’s history featuring 29 trunk mounted quilts wrapped around the trees, 12 arches framing the pathways, and about 15 hanging sculptures of all sizes suspended throughout. It’s art you walk through, not just look at!

Kate will be on site leading an immersive workshop, so come create alongside the artist herself.

Family Fun Featical will also host a ton of family friendly activities! Take home sand art, face painting, a balloon artist, petting zoo, rock climbing wall, community resources, and more await,

All ages are welcome! Free to attend! all.

Hackensack has never done anything like this! A full day of free arts events from 10am to 9pm!

Illumination 250 is an all-day arts celebration on October 3rd in Downtown Hackensack. This is unlike anything Bergen County has ever seen!

Giant puppet parade. Fiber art. Folk music. Food trucks! A silent disco flash mob. And a light projection installation that will light up the night.

What an incredible workshop! Thank you to every single person who showed up to build Giant Puppets with us at Bergen Makerspace over the 6 stay series.

These puppets will march down Main Street in Downtown Hackensack on October 3rd starting from Anderson Park at 2pm.

You don’t have to have a puppet to march in the parade! We’re looking for parade participants and festive observers to bring the energy!

On October 3rd, Downtown Hackensack celebrates America’s 250th anniversary with a giant puppet parade down Main Street. The puppets are being built this August — by the community. By you.
