• Flying drones near stadiums is illegal and dangerous.
• Violators will be prosecuted and penalties are severe.
• Leave your drone at home.
• Drones near stadiums? That’s a red card. If you fly illegally, you will be found and prosecuted.
• There will be severe consequences for reckless, careless, or criminal drone use, including fines upwards of $100,000, criminal charges, incarceration, and the confiscation of your drone.
• Safety is our goal. Every fan, every match. A massive multi-layered security plan that includes advanced anti-drone technology is in place to protect fans.
• See a drone breaking the rules? Blow the whistle! Report it to 911, on-site law enforcement, or the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI.

This Pride Month, Sheriff Anthony Cureton and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office proudly stand with our LGBTQ+ community and reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that every person is treated with dignity, respect, and fairness.

There is no place for hate, bias, intimidation, or violence in Bergen County. Crimes and incidents motivated by prejudice not only harm individuals, they impact entire communities. We encourage anyone who experiences or witnesses acts of hate to report them so that we can work together to keep our communities safe and welcoming for all.

Together, we can reject hate, embrace respect, and ensure that everyone feels safe being who they are.

Bergen County Sheriff Anthony Cureton was honored to join Bergen County Commissioner Vice Chair Tracy Zur, Commissioner Mary Amoroso, congregants, and special guests in celebrating the final sermon and retirement of Reverend Dr. Michelle White, Vicar of Christ Episcopal Church of Teaneck.

The morning service marked a meaningful tribute to Reverend Dr. White’s 17 years of dedicated ministry within the Diocese of Newark and her enduring impact on the Teaneck community, Bergen County, and beyond. Her leadership has been defined by a consistent commitment to faith, service, and the advancement of love, justice, and unity, leaving a legacy that will continue to resonate throughout the region.

Human trafficking can happen anywhere and often hides in plain sight. Recognizing the warning signs could help save a life.

Warning Signs May Include:

🔹 Appears fearful, anxious, submissive, or avoids eye contact

🔹 Is controlled by another person who speaks for them or refuses to leave their side

🔹 Has unexplained injuries, bruises, or signs of physical abuse

🔹 Lacks personal identification, money, or control of their own belongings

🔹 Works excessively long hours with little or no pay

🔹 Lives where they work or is transported to and from work by someone else

🔹 Is unable to come and go freely

🔹 Shows signs of malnourishment, poor hygiene, or inadequate living conditions

🔹 Has inconsistent stories about their situation or location

🔹 A minor is involved in commercial s*x acts

Bergen County Sheriff, Anthony Cureton was proud to stand alongside County leadership, leadership from Bergen Community College, the Bergen County Board of Commissioners, Prosecutor Mark Musella, senior staff, and Wardens from across the State to recognize and celebrate the next generation of correctional professionals entering a life of public service.

During the ceremony, Sheriff Cureton welcomed the graduates of Corrections Class #35 and encouraged them to remain committed to this time-honored profession with integrity, discipline, and dedication. He also recognized the vital role that family support plays in the continued growth and success of each officer throughout their careers.

Today marks more than a graduation  it marks the beginning of a calling rooted in service, accountability, leadership, and community protection. Congratulations to all the graduates of Corrections Class #35 as they begin this important journey. The future of public safety is stronger because of your commitment.

This year, the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office has provided 10 free AngelSense tracking devices to families with loved ones affected by autism or dementia who may be prone to wandering.

Because every second counts, this program offers an added layer of safety, security, and peace of mind for caregivers and families throughout Bergen County.
