What an unforgettable day sharing Lessons on the Rink with students, families, teachers, and hockey fans throughout the Escanaba area! 🏒💙

From classroom visits and school presentations to meeting readers and signing books at the HIT Rink, every stop reminded us why this story was written — to celebrate teamwork, perseverance, friendship, and the life lessons learned through hockey.

Seeing the excitement on students’ faces and connecting with so many amazing families made this experience incredibly special.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to the Escanaba Schools, the HIT Rink, the teachers, staff, students, and everyone who welcomed us so warmly. And a special thanks to Jo to Go for the refreshments and The Family Inn for the amazing cookies!

From battling along the boards as part of the legendary “Crash Line” to sharing life lessons with the next generation, Randy McKay continues to inspire both on and off the ice.

Former NHL player and two-time Stanley Cup champion Randy McKay recently visited elementary students to read Lessons on the Rink — a heartfelt story about teamwork, perseverance, friendship, and the moments that shape us beyond the game.

Seeing young readers connect with the story made this experience truly special. 💙 Thanks to North Elementary in Iron Mountain and Woodland Elementary in Kingsford for hosting Randy! And to Jennifer Pericolosi and Jessica Clarke for organizing!
