As a reminder, Sands Township voters who are mapped to the Marquette County School District may vote in the Marquette Area Public Schools Bond Proposal election on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. Polls are open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.

You may register to vote and vote anytime up to 8 p.m. on Election Day.

You can register at any time up to 8 p.m. on Election Day at your city or township clerk’s office. If you’re registering another way, your voter registration application must be received or postmarked at least 15 days before the election.

The Sands Township gym will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, May 4 and 5, 2026 for the Marquette Schools bond election on May 5.

The Sands Township gym will be available for Spring Break open play on Wednesday, April 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Thursday and Friday, April 2 and 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Update: Trash Pickup Changes and Office Closures
Trash pickup in Sands Township will be delayed by one day to allow time for snow removal.
- The normal Tuesday route will be picked up on Wednesday, March 18
-The normal Wednesday route will be picked up on Thursday, March 19

Update: In addition, the Sands Township office, including the gym, will be closed on Monday, March 16, and Tuesday, March 17, 2026.
