A cold front will move into Oklahoma today. Temperatures in the north behind the front will not be as hot. Temperatures south of the front will still be hot. Storms will likely form late this afternoon becoming more numerous this evening. There is a slight risk of severe weather.

We want to remind everyone, even after the passage of the Rockets Red Glare Act, the City of Guthrie fireworks ordinance is still in effect.

The ordinance in part requires a permit to be purchased, and displayed, and restricts the dates and times that you can lawfully discharge fireworks within City limits.

**UPDATE**
BNSF has changed the location of their closure this week to the crossing on W. Vilas between 3rd and 5th street. The work on the Oklahoma Ave. crossing will be at a later date.

On Tuesday morning June 9th, BNSF Railway will be temporarily closing the railroad crossing on W. Oklahoma Ave between 2nd and 5th street. The closure may last for up to one week and vehicles will not be able to drive through the crossing.

Today at 10:30 A.M the Guthrie Post Office will be dedicated in Honor of Pvt Oscar J. Upham who is an inductee of the Oklahoma Military Hall of Fame.

During the ceremony a 21 gun salute will be performed. If you hear gunshots in the downtown area around the Post Office, they are blanks and Officers are assisting with the dedication.
