President John F. Kennedy designated May 15th as Peace Officers Memorial Day. This date serves as a time to honor all peace officers who have been killed or injured in the line of duty.
The week in which the 15th falls is designated as National Police Week. This week recognizes those Peace Officers who continue to serve their communities.

Justice is served!

After deliberating for 3 hours, jurors sentenced David Ware to death for murdering our brother Sergeant Craig Johnson.

These past few weeks have been difficult for Sgt. Johnson’s family, friends, and all of our officers. Thank you to the prosecutors, jurors and to the community for your support.

Ware will be formally sentenced on May 13th.

Happy National Dispatcher Appreciation Week!

During this week of celebration, we would like to personally thank the men and women who work in our dispatch center. Thank you for missing birthdays, holidays, sporting events, and family gatherings. Thank you for the long hours, extra shifts, and covering in times of staffing shortages. Most of all, thank you for your unwavering dedication to protect and serve the citizens of Logan County.
Thank you for the lives you have saved, the lives you have positively impacted, and the lives you will save as a result of choosing this noble profession. WE SALUTE YOU!
