🎃🍂 It’s a Charlie Brown Halloween at the Gustine Traveling Library! 👻

A HUGE shoutout to the amazingly talented Elizabeth Petitt for bringing some Halloween magic to our headquarters with her wonderful window artwork, just in time for this year’s Charlie Brown Halloween Trunk-or-Treat theme! 🎨🍁

Be sure to come down to Gustine’s Main Street on October 31st for Shanker Street!

As always, we’ll have our fun Halloween photo displays set up in front of our headquarters, along with FREE candy, books, and toys for the kids! 🍬📚🧸

We can’t wait to celebrate Halloween with our community! See you there! 🎃🐶

The Great Pumpkin is coming to Gustine, and we're still looking for TRUNKS, STOREFRONTS & CANDY DONATIONS to make this Halloween extra special for our community! 👻🧡

🚗 WE NEED MORE TRUNKS AND STOREFRONTS TO PARTICIPATE!
Businesses, organizations, families, and community members — come join the fun! Decorate your trunk, dress up, and help us fill Main Street with Halloween magic! You do not have to decorate with our theme any theme or decorations are welcome.

🍭 WE NEED CANDY DONATIONS!
Can't participate with a trunk? You can still help! We're collecting candy donations to HELP OUR TRUNKS and make sure all our little trick-or-treaters leave with plenty of treats!

🍂🦃 11th Annual Green Acres Thanksgiving Dinner! 🦃🍂

It’s almost time for one of our favorite community traditions! We’re excited to once again come together to provide a warm Thanksgiving dinner for Gustine’s seniors and veterans! ❤️

❤️ We need your help! As we do every year, we’re asking our wonderful community to help with donations of turkey, ham, potatoes, corn, green beans, and other Thanksgiving favorites!

October is shaping up to be a busy month at the Gustine Traveling Library! 📚🧡

Check out our October 2026 calendar for our updated public hours, private tutoring times, and special closures throughout the month.

Please note that we will be closed October 5–6 for Capitol visits, October 23–25 while attending the MCSBA Fall Conference in Monterey, and October 30–31 for Trunk r Treat preparations. 🎃

What a meaningful day in Paradise! 💙📚

A huge thank you to Principal John Bettencourt for welcoming us to Paradise Elementary and giving us a tour of the new school site. The Gustine Traveling Library was proud to donate a Little Free Library and 200+ new books for their new library, while also offering continued literacy and grant support for the future.

During the fires, our community came together to send food, supplies, and support to Paradise. To return years later and see the progress, resilience, and care for students was truly incredible.

We’re grateful to continue that connection and support Paradise students for years to come. 💛🏫

🦋📚 A little Dolly, a lot of love, and 978 books given away!

Today’s Dolly Parton Day celebration at the Gustine Traveling Library welcomed visitors from across Stanislaus, Fresno, and Merced counties to celebrate kindness, community, and the joy of reading! 💖

We surpassed our 925-book goal with 978 books given away today, and we plan to give away many more through upcoming school distributions!

From families choosing books to visitors sharing kind messages on our “Memories for Dolly” board, you helped make this celebration special. Thank you for celebrating Dolly’s love of literacy with us and helping bring more books into children’s hands! 🦋📚
