The frontage trail on G Hill in Gunnison is now rideable. On the north end, it starts/ends on the top of the beginner loop and on the south end it starts/ends where there is a fence opening the side of a dirt road coming from 100 South and Farmers Freeway under the G.
So this is a two-way trail and I would rate the trail difficulty a blue trail with a few black diamond features thrown in. That was the plan in the first place, to make the trail a hiking slash technical bike trail. I like it, I can test my skills on this trail!

Today is the first work day for the Manti Trail Builders. With the crew of 10-14 workers, they are going to continue to work on the G Hill project this summer. This year, they will fix the trails on the back side that have been damaged and they will also do a few adjustments and add features. Then they will build a new 1.5 mile hiking or a little more technical mountain bike trail from the north bike trails to the G then it’ll go down towards the town of Gunnison. It will be a two way trail.
And if there is enough time in the summer, they will work on putting in a mountain bike skills park.

Gunnison Valley - you should be proud of your kids! They did an amazing job, and we accomplished a ton. Trailhead parking is now finished! Great job everyone, and a huge thank you to GVHS!

Up and at ’em bright and early on a Saturday!

May 24th the high school will be coming over to the G Hill trails for their service project. Any member of the community is also encouraged to come! We will be putting up a fence in the parking area and finishing up sign posts.

Thanks to the G Hill Commitee for making this happen! There has been a lot of hard work getting the solar panels, battery system and cage installed to make this happen every night. Merry Christmas to all from the G Hill Committee!

For the highschools G-Day service project they came and helped us move along the G Hill Trail System we are working on. We are so thankful for the kids and adult leaders in the community who showed up and helped us! The G will also be lit up tonight for G-Day.
