Come see the "Evolution of Old Glory" display on Main Street Across from the Building near Subway! 🇺🇸From now through Independence Day, check out this unique, row of 26 historical U.S. flags. It is a stunning visual timeline of our nation's history, packed into one place. Stop by, look up at the incredible display, and read the history tags at the base to learn how our country grew star by star.

📍 Where: Main Street, then at the park for the 3rd and 4th.

TOWNHALL MEETING
Monday, June 8 @ 7pm
Gunnison City Hall, 38 West Center Street. Gunnison, 84634

The purpose of this townhall meeting is to discuss a Sanpete County proposed Rural County Health Care Facilities Tax. This tax will be on the upcoming November ballot for voter consideration. Information will be provided about the reason for this tax and possible impacts to communities in the county, both pros and cons.

This is a courtesy notice to the Gunnison Valley community. If you are not able to attend the meeting, but would like more information, please contact Sanpete County (Sanpete.com)

CEMETERY DECORATION CLEANUP
On Tuesday, June 9, all decorations from the cemetery that are not connected to headstones, or off the grass will be removed. All removed decorations will be disposed of immediately.

Highlights from the City Council meeting last night

* Rachel Young was appointed to be the new City Treasurer
* Gunnison and Centerfield are starting a sewer collection and treatment study to look at future growth impacts. Gunnison is seeking a $70,000 grant to help pay for the study.
* The Council tabled action on the mixed use development at the old Gunnison Valley Elementary location. Additional studies are needed before any decision can be made.
* Gunnison will receive $90,000 from the Utah Trust Lands Administration to help expand the industrial park north of town.

Irrigation System Update:
Construction activity over the weekend broke a part of the city's irrigation system on the east side of town. The contractor is working to fix the break. We do not have a firm timeframe for the work to be completed.
