The South Mississippi Housing Authority’s Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program will be hosting our very first Family Support Resource Fair in Jackson County.

Our mission is to empower local families by bridging the gap between community needs and vital services. This event is designed to be a one-stop hub for residents to access job opportunities, educational resources, credit counseling, and the tools necessary to achieve long-term independence and stability.

You will notice that things will sound and look different when you reach out to us and you will have more options to get the information you need. Please be patient while we work through any challenges and please also understand that our AI bots have access to the same information our staff does and calling multiple times does not help your housing status in any way.

South Mississippi Housing Authority's Gulfport Office will Close at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 7/16/2025 for Scheduled Generator Maintenance. All other SMHA offices will be on normal operating schedules.

We are also monitoring the potential for tropical weather and will post any additional schedule alterations here and through local media outlets (WLOX, WXXV25, and WDAM).
