New soil testing information: So, what has changed? MSU is now using a third-party soil testing lab, Southern Soil & Plant Lab, out of Yazoo City. The process for submitting a sample online is very user-friendly and the lab result turnaround will be much faster. You can still come to the MSU Extension office if you need assistance submitting your sample or to receive soil boxes or bags (coming soon). The client will be responsible for sample payment and shipping. We will be happy to assist with questions concerning your lab results or instructions on how to collect your sample(s). A huge thank you to First Missionary Baptist Church Handsboro for hosting our Food Preservation: The Basics class and all the wonderful participants who came out to learn, share, and connect! We had an amazing time canning delicious strawberry jam. Participants Mastered essential boiling water bath canning rules. They also shared laughs and learned from each other!
