Guilford DAY

Guilford DAY Guilford D.A.Y. is a community coalition focused on encouraging youth to make positive choices and look to their parents and other adults as role models.

Comprised of volunteers from the Guilford community, including parents, youth, community leaders, law enforcement and other sectors, Guilford D.A.Y. (Developmental Assets for Youth) works to reduce high-risk behaviors such as underage drinking and other illicit youth substance use and provides our youth with the opportunities, skills and values they need to grow into healthy, caring and responsibl

e adults. By demonstrating that the community values its youth, reinforcing the importance of family boundaries, encouraging adult role models and applauding positive peer influence, Guilford D.A.Y. and its supporters will help Guilford youth make positive choices.

This Pride Month, the Guilford Police Department proudly reaffirms our commitment to creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive community for everyone. 🏳️‍🌈

We believe that every person deserves to feel supported, and are committed to treating all individuals with dignity and respect, while standing up against hate, discrimination, and violence in any form. Further, that we are a safe place for reporting hate crimes against the LGBTQ+ community or any other protected class.

If you experience or witness an anti-LGBTQ+ hate crime or bias-related incident, please know that our officers are here to help you and you will be treated with professionalism, compassion, and respect.

We feel very lucky to serve the Guilford community and all the people who make up this amazing town.
