Guilford Interfaith Volunteers GIV is the umbrella for Meals on Wheels, Friendly Visiting and Charlie’s Closet & co-directs the Food Bank with Guilford Social Services.

Our mission is to promote the well-being of Guilford residents who are home-bound, elderly or sick. Meals on Wheels provides a nourishing noon meal for ANY Guilford resident having difficulty preparing meals. There are no age or financial restrictions. Volunteer drivers are always needed. Friendly Visiting matches carefully screened and trained volunteer friends with any isolated or lonely Guilfor

d resident desiring a social visit. "Friends" commit to making a one hour weekly visit. Volunteer "friends" are always needed. Charlie's Closet is a used medical equipment clearinghouse. We accept donations of clean, gently used equipment and then make the equiment available to anyone requesting it for the purchase price of $1.
