This morning, two members of Haletown Fire and Rescue and a few members of MCSO were honored to join many other fire and emergency service agencies from across the region for the Chattanooga 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb.

Together, participants gathered at Erlanger Park to remember and honor the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001. Our firefighters climbed the equivalent of 110 floors, carrying with them the names of the responders who lost their lives in the attacks on the World Trade Center.

Throughout the climb, the actual FDNY radio traffic from that fateful morning echoed through the event, serving as a solemn reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness displayed that day. Upon completing the climb, each name was read aloud as a bell was rung in their memory.

As we approach the 25th anniversary of September 11, may we never forget the lives lost, the sacrifices made, and the extraordinary courage shown by so many.
May we continue to honor their memory—not only in remembrance, but through our own commitment to serve others and to always Put Others First.

At 5:05, Haletown Fire was called to a brush fire on Hwy 134. On arrival, we realized it was old railroad ties. We worked along side of Chattanooga Fire due to it being in Hamilton County. Chattanooga Station 3 used their ladder truck to help extinguish the fire. Haletown pulled an attack line and put out the hot shots. All units was back in service at 7:30

🔥🚒 HAPPY VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER APPRECIATION DAY! 🚒🔥

Today, we honor the brave men and women who volunteer their time, energy, and hearts to serve and protect their communities. ❤️

These firefighters answer the call—day or night, rain or shine—to help others when they need it most. They sacrifice time with their families, leave their jobs, and put themselves in harm’s way without expecting anything in return.

To every volunteer firefighter: THANK YOU! 🙏
Thank you for your courage.
Thank you for your dedication.
Thank you for your sacrifice.
Thank you for serving your community.

🚒 We appreciate you today and every day! 🚒
