NEW CLIVE CUSSLER BOOKS
Recently two new mystery books by author Clive Cussler were shelved at
the Gruver City Library, 504 King Street in Gruver, Texas.
"Spartan Gold", one of the Fargo Adventure series thrillers (2009) was
added. Husband and wife treasure hunters are the heroes in this book.
Thousands of years ago, two superpowers of the ancient world went to
war, and a treasure of immeasurable value was lost to the shadows of
history. In 1800, while crossing the Pennine Alps with his army,
Napoleon Bonaparte stumbled across a startling discovery. Unable to
transport it, he created an enigmatic map on the labels of 12 bottles
of rare wine. While Napoleon died, the bottles disappeared and the
treasure was lost again. Until now. Treasure - hunting team Sam and
Remi Fargo when they discover ......
"Plague Ship" is part of Cussler's Oregon Files series. In four novels,
Cussler has charted the exploits of the Oregon, a covert ship
completely dilapidated on the outside but on the inside packed with
sophisticated weaponry and intelligence gathering equipment. Captained
by the rakish Juan Cabrillo and manned by former military and spy
personnel, it is a private enterprise, available for any government
agency that can afford it ....
